The 2015 Chicago Food Day schedule of events has the most activities in recent event history! Between Monday, October 19 and Sunday, October 25, there are 25 different events and activities for Chicagoans to view or participate in! Look and decide which events you’re interested in and then put our schedule on your schedule!
Chicago Food Day friends at Prairie Crossing Farm in Grayslake are holding a Fall Festival from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Sat., Oct. 3. Festivities include a free hayride tour of a working organic farm, a pop-up farmers market and a variety of educational activities! Participating farm businesses include Chicago area’s own Duck Tail Farm, Gretta’s Goats, Radical Root Farm, Sandhill Family Farms, and Yaw-Ye Farms. Learn more at the event section of www.libertyprairie.org.
To make this after-school program happen, PGP has launched a fundraising campaign to cover expenses required to host the program in their kitchen space. They're past the halfway mark, but have just 7 days to raise $1,600. This is your chance to help kids learn how to eat better. It won’t take much if we all pitch in. Here's the link, please share and donate if you can! https://www.ioby.org/project/peterson-garden-project-kids-kitchen
